Tuning the Oracle Instance

For this course make sure that you read the course-specific information about your exercises and the course project. This course takes an in-depth look into the memory internals of the Oracle SGA.
You will learn how to identify and diagnose Oracle memory performance problems, including problems in
  1. the library cache,
  2. data buffer cache, and
  3. data dictionary cache.

Once you complete this course, you will be able to handle any SGA-related slowdown, and will have a set of pre-written SQL scripts that you can use to quickly identify performance problems. The course enables you to have a firm understanding of Oracle SGA structures and be able to understand the internal memory mechanisms of the Oracle RDBMS database.
